Nest is a unique nonprofit microfinance organization that helps female artisans and co-ops in eight countries -- Guatemala, India, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, Tanzania, Togo and Turkey -- develop and market their products. Nest has volunteer boards in cities across the U.S. that throw fundraising events for the organization to increase awareness. Seattle's board will have its first major fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 13, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Design Within Reach.
