There's a lot to be said for living up to your promises. Mae Phim, the tiny Thai cafe serving the downtown lunch crowd, pledges "Fresh, Fast, Friendly" service to its customers, and that's exactly what it delivers. Their two locations, one on Pike Street and one on Columbia, are inevitably packed, but with their online ordering system your food is being cooked before your lunch break even begins. That slogan doesn't quite give you the whole picture, though. With almost everything under $6, it's also one of the cheapest eats downtown.
