Thunderbirds shut out Kelowna, 2-0 | Hockey

Goalie Calvin Pickard made 32 saves and Seth Swenson and Colin Jacobs scored power-play goals to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 2-0 victory over Kelowna Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.

KELOWNA, B.C. — Goalie Calvin Pickard made 32 saves and Seth Swenson and Colin Jacobs scored power-play goals to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 2-0 victory over Kelowna Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.

The T-birds (19-32-1-1) snapped a six-game losing streak and moved into a tie for seventh place in the Western Conference playoff standings with Victoria.

Ryan Harrison scored two goals for Everett. Ryan Chynoweth also scored for the Silvertips (13-31-9).
