Where are the best places to shop for wedding dresses?

I would recommend I Do Bridal. I had great service from DeAnne. They are a smaller store so be ready to share your space with others. My two friends and I had a great time there and we did not feel that having two other brides in the same space was invasive.

I also went to La Belle Elaine's. It was very nice but very over-priced. I saw the same dress there as at I Do Bridal and it was $800 more at Elaine's for the exact same dress.

I would avoid David's Bridal at all costs. The staff, especially at the Lynnwood location, are horrible. They were more interested in the girl do might get engaged in a couple of months that the woman with a ring on her hand and date set. The plus size dresses were horrible and ugly. Spend the extra 10% at I Do Bridal for the extended size dress and get something amazing.

Hello,

Try any beach wedding store, recently i find one store that exclusively deal with beach weddings products, there you can find exquisite accessories for your dress, so you can make your low budget dress a rocking dress.

I received my wedding dress yesterday at noon from www.helenbride.com and of coarse I couldn't wait to open it and see my dress. It is fabulous!!!!!! www.helenbride.com did a super wonderful job. I am so very very very happy. I was very skeptical. Their service is fantastic. I am a very satisfied.

Go to Belltown Bride. Melissa, the owner believes in a bride getting the most out of her money for a dress. She sells designer gowns at a 70% or more discount. She listened to me and pulled out more than 10 dresses for me to try. I found my dream dress there-an Alvina Valenta- that I thought I could never afford! You can buy a dress made out of pure silk with detailing like you would find at Marcella's for the same price as a going to David's Bridal.

Definitely go to Belltown Bride!

If you plan on having an

outdoor wedding don't forget to order Wedding Hand Fans. They make great wedding favors and can be imprinted with your picture, vows and wedding date.

I spent a ton of time reading blogs and reviews about various shops around town and went to MANY last year when I was shopping for my dress. I have to say the best service, best prices, and just best experience I had was with I Do in Wallingford. I'd highly recommend - they take care of their brides and speaking from experience - help you find the perfect dress for you.

I got married just a couple weeks ago and got a fabulous dress from J Crew. Our engagement was not very long, so I didn't have time to go to a bridal boutique where it can take months to get a dress. I looked on the J Crew website, called the personal shopper at the U Village store, and they shipped the dresses that I wanted to try on to the store within a week. I didn't have to pay for them before trying them on, and the one I ended up getting fit so well that I just took it home! Granted, I am not the kind of girl who would really want to go to a bridal boutique anyway (the only dresses that I saw and liked tended to be in the "destination wedding" collections and were all kind of cheesy). But I had a great experience and would recommend J Crew to anyone for quality, customer service and ease of shopping.

Hello,

I purchased my wedding jewelry from http://www.beachthemeweddingshop.com , they have a wonderful collection of wedding jewelry and accessories.

I found my dress at Bride's Outlet in Everett for less than $500 and the alterations, which included putting in a lace-up back, were only $150. The dress was a prototype so it's one of a kind and the material and quality is much better than some of the dresses you find at David's Bridal (those dresses remind me of prom dresses!).

The only word of caution that I would have is to make sure to check your dress when you get it after alterations!! There's one woman there that does all the alterations and she was great and helped me pick the dress as well but she's obviously very busy and forgot to sew in the snaps for my lace up panel. My mom and grandma ended up sewing me into the dress.

Does anyone know where Cinderelli's Closet is located in Edmonds? I can't find any information on the web.

I would echo the negative comments about Marcella's. I bought my gown there. They make you feel fabulous on your first visit but once you pay your deposit, it all goes down hill. I have never been treated so poorly. Marcella had me in tears with how nasty and rude she was to me. Once I started telling people my story, I heard from many women similar stories. I really cannot believe she is still in business with how awful she treats her customers. Sure her selection is great with a lot of designer dresses, but it is NOT worth the customer service or lack thereof.

Do not go to A Princess Bride in Bothell. The lady helping me laughed at me when I told her my budget. I said I wanted to spend less than $500 and she told me that their dresses start at $1,000. I found a dress within my price range because they were having a sale-which is why I went there in the first place. She asked my friend, whom I brought along to help me, to stop making comments unless I asked her. She told me in private that I didn't have to listen to my friend's opinion. While I was trying on a dress, she went and told my friend to not give her opinion unless I asked. I ended up getting my dress there but I was not happy with the service. The woman completing my alterations has been fine.

I recently bought my dress at I Do Bridal in Wallingford and had a wonderful experience. The store is small and cute, with a pressure-free and comfortable atmosphere. I worked with Alicia, and she was great--sweet, attentive and honest! I even appreciated the personal note and giftbag I received after my purchase. They also had a great selection of dresses with great prices! I had gone to La Belle Elaine's first, and I had a good experience there too. Walking the runway there is fun! However, I Do Bridal carried some of the same dresses that La Belle Elaine's had, at cheaper prices. My runner-up dress was $400 cheaper at I Do, then at La Belle's--same exact dress! I have gone to I Do a couple times since ordering my dress to look for bridesmaid dresses and they've been accommodating and helpful each time.

I didn't have time to shop for my wedding gown but wanted the perfect dress. I decided to hire a stylist I know, www.tannyabernadette.com. She found the perfect dress that fit the wedding theme and my personal style. There was no running around checking prices and going through racks and racks of clothes. She had Dresses on hold for me at various locations and I went to try them on and from the fittings, I was able to quickly make a decision. I wasn't being pressured by sales associates trying to make commission and sales, I was in a relaxed state.

The Wedding Belle in Tacoma was WELL worth the trip from my home in Lynnwood. They have the prices of I Do Bridal, but the dresses are way more high quality. The fabric is so much nicer. I was so excited to get my dress for $800 and it didn't look cheap at all.

I went to a few bridal shops with my sister and we both felt disheartened by how similar and, frankly, out of touch they seemed. I didn't want an average wedding dress, but I still wanted to look like the bride. Masha Osoianu, a very talented local designer, heard what I wanted and created the most gorgeous dress for me. I had people actually say to me that they wished they had such a dress at their weddings, and that it was the most beautiful they had ever seen.
On top of the fabulous dress, Masha is wonderful, thoughtful and brilliant, and working with her as she designed my dress was so much fun! I highly recommend this outstanding designer. A couple pictures of my dress and her contact info is on her blog: http://mashaknits.blogspot.com

I just bought my dress from Blue Sky Bridal in Greenwood and I highly recommend visiting this shop.

Overall, it was a great experience. The owner was extremely friendly and never once tried to up sell me. Blue Sky Bridal sells dresses on consignment so you are guaranteed to get a good deal. All of the dresses are in great shape and some have never been worn. Her shop is fresh and clean. They even make you take off your shoes and wear gloves when looking at the dress since you buy them off the rack. I really appreciated this!
