Madina Vadache has been designing feminine and elegant bridal and evening dresses using luxurious textiles since 1997. Her Spring 2009 line "Liquid Dreams" is her first ready-to-wear collection. Vadache was inspired by the naturally shimmering hues of the skyline and the cloudscapes of local artist Virginia Howlett.

Starting on Oct. 1, the Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) is starting a pilot program allowing 30 grocery stores to have wine and beer tastings. Out of the 30 stores participating, 15 are independently owned and 15 are chain stores.
