Jewelry designer River Burke launches River Song, the manufacturing studio and
retail space for her River Song line of necklaces, earrings and bracelets made with unique, colorful gems and exquisite attention to small details. Burke will also carry a
tightly edited collection of international designers, including jewelry
from Germany's Daniel Hiller and ceramics from the United Kingdom's
Carol Farrow, as well as souvenirs and gathered objects from her own
travels.

The first Sur La Table store opened at Pike Place Market in
1972, filled with professional kitchen accoutrements that were, at the time,
hard for the home cook to find. Original owner Shirley Collins scoured the
world for the high-quality premium cookware and accessories that Sur La Table
has become synonymous with. In September, the company opened their first Seattle-area
store in 13 years at The Bravern, bringing to Bellevue their stellar product
lines such as copper cookware from French company Mauviel 1830 and the
stainless collection from Belgium's Demeyere.

EcoLavish Fashion Show hits the runway on Oct. 9 from 7 to 10 p.m. at
the Engine Room in
Georgetown. where everything from the venue and refreshments to the
makeup and,
of course, the fashions have been selected because of their
eco-friendly
nature.
The show's creator, Courtney Russell, launched the event to show that
eco-conscious fashions can be stylish, high-quality garments that work
well in any wardrobe.
