While many retro houses are going wild for dots and circles, owner Joeanna Purdie chooses plenty of stripes vibrantly used in unusual ways on skirts, tops and dresses. She carries labels as diverse as Trina Turk; Hobo International; True Religion; Citizens of Humanity; and Paper Denim and Cloth.
With so much style to absorb, thank goodness there's an amoeba-shaped couch in the middle of the store, and more egg-shaped resting places near the dressing area. (That, too, is all style: It's a rectangle of white shag carpet underneath full-length mirrors with two hospital curtains for differing degrees of privacy.)
If you love the psychedelic decade but not cookie-cutter '60s retro clothes, you just might find yourself sweet on these duds.
Tips: Prices here start in the $60s, another nod to the decade they honor.
